We're building a free, sponsored pathway inside The Crucible for low-income young people who have the drive but not the money, connections, or equipment to build AI and cybersecurity skills for employment.

AI and cybersecurity fundamentals, taught with the same plain-English approach as Security ARK

Human skills built in from day one: problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and resilience

Hands-on practice with Security ARK, free for life, plus hands-on labs as funding allows

Mentorship from working security professionals, with youth-safety policies in place before the first session

Online first: Security ARK, the question bank, and mentorship all run free in a browser, so any young person can start from anywhere

Then in person: with funding, we plan to open our first community learning hub with shared devices in Fairfax, Virginia, and bring the same model to other cities that request and fund one

No. The Crucible is live mentorship and community — a weekly call with real people, not a video library you watch alone. We're not another course. We're your compass.

I already have certifications — is this still for me?

Yes. Working professionals use The Crucible to sharpen strategy and thinking, not to learn the basics — the five pillars cover consulting and mentorship as much as core coaching.

Does this replace certifications my employer or role requires?

No — we don't replace certification programs you need for your role or employer. We help you figure out which ones are actually worth your investment, and coach you to grow beyond any single credential.

Do you teach AI?

Yes, both how to use it and how to secure it. Bring AI questions to any weekly call today. Our structured AI and agentic security curriculum, built on the OWASP Top 10 for Agentic Applications, is in development and will ship alongside Paths II and III.

Do you provide hands-on labs?

Not yet, and we won't pretend otherwise. Hands-on labs for members are one of our top funding goals, because practicing on real systems is where skills stick. Today you can practice with Security ARK once it launches. Donations and grants are what will make labs part of every membership. They'll focus on real security and AI skills, not on memorizing one vendor's tools.

How do I prep for the Security+ or CISSP exam here?

Path I is being built to prepare you for both. Security ARK's planned Security+ and CISSP question bank will give you practice questions for free, and your weekly call is where a mentor helps you understand why an answer is right. Passing CISSP without five years of experience makes you an Associate of ISC² (what most of the industry calls a "CISSP Associate"), and we'll coach you on the path to full CISSP from there.

Is there a free option for young people?

We're building one: a free, sponsored Youth Pathway for ages 15–24. It isn't open yet, and we'll say so plainly until it is. If you run a school or youth program and want in early, email [email protected].

What if I need to cancel?

What exactly happens on the weekly call?
